Alex Puddu From The Beginning
Copenhagen, Denmark
The mind behind "The Golden Age of Danish Pornography" Vol. 1 & 2, "Registrazioni al Buio", multi-instrumentalist, composer and funk addict hailing from Rome and based in Copenhagen.
From The Beginning A heartbreaking soul album that takes you back to the early ‘70s’ classic song writing. Featuring Lonnie Jordan – founding member, musician, and vocalist from the band War – as vocalist and co-writer together with Alex Puddu on three songs on the album. “Runaway Boys”, ”Nobody” and the sweet groove ballad “Stormy Weather” are all reminiscent of a soundtrack to a West coast blaxploitation film .
From The Beginning is halfway between the city and the jungle; a catchy conga-fuelled adventure that takes you on a latin flavored “Ocean Drive” in the vein of Gil Scot Heron & Timmy Thomas featuring vocalist Duane Hobson who also does the vocal on the groovy “Don’t Stop Moving” Also featuring on vocal Adrian Wilding on the irresistible R&B/easy mood tune “Here to Stay” On the bass is one of Italy’s finest session players from the Italian music scene from the seventies Dino Kappa – known for his collaborations with artists such as Morricone, Trovaioli, Bacalov, Alan Sorrenti. Renato Zero and prog. band Libra Massimo Fiorentino on piano and organ,Morten Grønvad on vibraphone and percussion, Mikael Fleron on sax, Hendrik Jørgensen on trumpet,
Gavino Congiatta on Bass Alex Puddu plays drums, guitars, bass, and additional keys.

Curtis Harding Face Your Fear
Curtis Harding's new album Face Your Fear is out October 27 on Anti-. New York Magazine already named the forthcoming album one of their most anticipated fall releases lauding Harding’s “scorching voice” while Clash UK hails recent new track “On and On” as “a blistering slice of dancefloor soul that recalls prime Curtis Mayfield and late 60s Motown.” The new album follows 2014’s Soul Power, on which Rolling Stone called Harding an “artist you need to know.”
Harding fuels his psychedelic sound with the essence of Soul but isn’t bound by it. Instead, the 12 songs on the new album convey an eclectic blend of genres leaping from the many musical lives he has lived from following his evangelical Gospel-singing mother on tour as a child in Michigan to rapping in Atlanta, forming a garage band with The Black Lips’ Cole Alexander to singing back-up for Cee Lo Green. Through these experiences he fully embraces life’s darkest intricacies conjuring dynamic, addictive melodies.
Face Your Fear features production by Harding, Sam Cohen, and Danger Mouse and was recorded in New York at Danger Mouse’s 30th Century Studio.
