The Bongolian is the alter ego of Big Boss Man frontman Nasser Bouzida and this is his sixth album inspired by the Latin Soul scene of 1960s New York. He is a drummer and percussionist by trade (hence the moniker) but here he plays all manner of instruments on an album that whilst percussion heavy, utilises a brass section which includes Terry Edwards (Gallon Drunk etc etc).
